Describe your personal music style in 3 words.

Pop — House — Yeah!!!

Where do you find inspiration for your songs?

Our inspiration comes from all over. There‘s musical inspiration, of course. We listen to a lot of old funk and soul music, especially bands like “Earth, Wind and Fire” and “Brothers Johnson”. And old techno, too: “808 State” and “Orbital”. But there‘s also inspiration from all the other things in life: seeing new places, meeting new people, books, movies, food, wine - it all finds a way into the music one way or another.

How did it come to the collaboration with Vodafone?

They’ve approached our label and asked if we wanted to be a part of their new ad. For us, the answer is always going to be YES. It‘s a way for our music to reach a lot more people in Germany. And already from the small amount of touring we‘ve done we‘ve noticed the effect.

If your life would have a soundtrack, what song would it be?

Hmm that‘s a tough one... I guess we‘re touring so much at the moment it would have to be something that conveys a lot of excitement and adventure: Rossini’s “William Tell Overture”?

How would you describe the relation between art and music?

To me, music is art. All forms of music. And there‘s something very special about it. It makes people feel things deeply.

Do you have a favourite international festival?

We’ve played at a “Festival Estereo Picnic 2011” in Bogota, Colombia, just recently: great festival in a great city! But we keep hearing amazing things about “Melt” in Germany, too. We can‘t wait to make it to that one!
