NEW IN TOWN: HOT HANGOUTS FOR A SWELTERING SUMMER IN THE CITY

Whether you like your views urban or arty, Berlin has you covered.

NEW IN TOWN: HOT HANGOUTS FOR A SWELTERING SUMMER IN THE CITY

Hotel Zoo Rooftop Bar

With a location on the seventh floor, the  roof terrace was created by LA designer Dayna Lee and evokes the contemporary, casual and mystical elegance of the City of Angels. It’s the cherry on the cake of the townhouse-inspired hotel, and features washed teak wood with cotton-wool cushions in muted violet tones, cozy ottomans, flat tables, and even an open fireplace. Should the weather fail to play ball, there’s always the hotel’s chic Grace Bar and Restaurant to give you shelter.

Julia Stoschek Collection

A young, female collector in an art world dominated by older men,  Julia Stoschek is clearly not constrained by traditional boundaries. This approach shines through in her collection, which launched in 2016 to much acclaim. Specialising in media art, the Düsseldorf native has found a natural home in Berlin, with its forward-thinking, tech-focused crowd. Located on the local art scene’s new epicentre at Leipziger Strasse, the gallery shocks and inspires in equal measure, showcasing edgy artists at the top of their game.
